Problem with my reloads in my K31 Swiss

Today I went to the range again. This time I cycled the bolt a little more "smartly", not hard but normal. I only had one misfire out of 10 rounds. There is a good amount of carbon left on the case from the shoulder forward. I would still feel a lot better with an appropriate die so I'm still going to order the Redding FLS die.

BTW. My load is 150gr Hornady SPs loaded to 2.8 inch over 42 grains of H380. Its a good accurate load and I think it will be even better with properly sized cases.

You may already know this, but if the bolt is fully closed the serial number will be dead center on top. If you take note of that your misfires may end. And yes, I'd get the Redding. The K31 are a really good rifle and a joy at 200 yards.

Thanks. I did check that and as far as I can tell it is going fully into battery without problem.

So, I just picked up a set of RCBS dies, new, fairly cheap, like less than $33 total. I have a new (to me) K 31. Still haven't purchased the boxer brass but have GP11 to work through. I would bet that the RCBS dies will give me problems. Any comments or thoughts?

I saw every other manufacturer mentioned but not RCBS. Figured I would ask.

Supposedly the new Hornady dies and the Reddings are the only ones that are truly spec'd for the K31.
