Hi guys. I always had this problem but I never paid much attention to it. Now I would like to know what you guys think. So, I have a double-barreled, 16 gauge shotgun. You load the shotgun, (for now everything is ok) you fire and then (after firing) it is very difficult to open the action, so much that I have to use my legs to open it. So, what could it be? Is there a way I can solve it? It is an old shotgun, spanish made, for what I know it should have been made around 1920's. My grandma gave it to me around 4 years ago, I don't think she would clean it very often, if she ever did. Sorry for any spelling mistakes, I'm from South America.

If it hasn't been cleaned for a while I would give it a good detail strip and cleaning. Once it is fully cleaned it may function properly. There could be some sort of varnished oil or similar in there that needs to be gotten rid of.

I will try cleaning it, thanks for the response.
