Problems installing DPMS Ambi Safety Selector

When I put my ambi safety selector on my Colt AR lower, the selector is still loose on the receiver. It seems as if it was made for a wider receiver (there is about 1/8" of room still when the selector is screwed tight).

Anyone have any ideas why or how to fix this?

Loose as in wobble or loose as in not flush? Mine has a bit of clearance from the frame, but is smooth in rotation with no wobble. I think it is meant to be that way.
