I have some Redding Pro series dies for 44 mag that am having some issues with. The Pro series are designed for use in a progressive press, am using a Dillon 650.
The issue am having is with the seating die. Am trying to load up some MCB 240gr swc, so I have a slight bell on the case. When the case is raised into the seating die it is removing the bell and shaving small amounts of brass off.
Took the die apart, sized a case without belling and the sized case is snug going into the die, so there is NO way a case with a bell can go in there.
I tried running it with no bell and am shaving lead off the bullets. Am kinda at a loss since none of my other seating dies are like this, and surely Redding didn't design the die to do that.
Thanks for any help...Eric
