Greetings,
I am attempting to reduce the length of pull of an Imbel FAL to 10.5". As is, the FAL's LOP is greater than the M16A2's.
So far I have replaced the standard recoil system a Para's. I'll be cutting several inches off the recoil tube and brazing the ends back together.
The main obstacle seems to be modifying the synthetic fixed stock. I need a way to attach the recoil tube screw back into the modified recoil tube to hold the stock on. Also, the back of the buttstock/toe would be to short to shoulder comfortably.
I have thought of 2 options:
1. Using JB Weld to join the end of the buttstock to the rest of the modified stock, and using bondo to blend the differing heights of the buttstock together.
2. Attaching an AR15 short stock to the FAL.
Any ideas?
All suggestions appreciated!
