Yes. That's why they used the word "arms", assuring they would all be protected as technology progressed (or so they thought).

I used to live in WA, and as far as my memory serves, they didn't allow me to own a gun either, it was an unalienable right. Which means they can't infringe it. I suspect if "shall not be infringed" wasn't the wording they'd have infringed it by now.

Stupid idea, from stupid politicians, aren't these people up for re-election next year?

Heller basically said you can't ban a whole class of weapons in common use. AR-15's are certainly in common use along with other weapons that would qualify under the proposed WA state ban.

I imagine that in the very unlikely event that the legislation passes that the NRA or someone would be on it like stink on poop and use it as another case to get the 2nd incorporated.
