I'm very proud of my teenage daughter tonight. Actually I'm always proud of her but she really shined tonight. My wife and daughter went to a family Christmas Party while I got ready for shift work. When they got home I was told that my daughter spent most of the party talking guns, hunting and fishing with her uncles. She impressed her uncle in law enforcement with her knowledge of M4's since I recently bought a couple and have taken her to the range 3 times in the last couple of months. He's a AR newbie too so other than disassembly she probably knew as much as him. How many 14 year olds can discuss the laquer on the cases of Russian .223 and why 5.56 is a no no in a .223 chamber? The longer they talked the more she suprised him. I gave her an extra $10 when she got home just for doing a good job. Of course she steered the conversation to what she knew and admitted not knowing about AK's when the topic arouse. That's pretty adult of her. Still....I was pretty impressed even though she's been shooting handguns and .22 rifles for years. Her Mom does pretty good too.
