Got my second all time deer Friday night. The 8mm Mauser shattered both shoulders and ripped apart the lungs. It has been flawless under 100 yards. Put the crosshairs on the target and pow!

Way to go! Imagine getting shot by one of those during WWII.

I inherited the rifle from my Grandfather, my father sportized (spelling) the stock to match it to his .243... I know, but they do look good together. The 8mm ammo I'm using is from a box my dad or grandpa bought. It is a yellow box of Winchester Super-Speed Power-Points, 170 Grain Soft Point. $7.90 is marked on the box in pencil.

I love using this rifle, it is like holding onto the past of my fathers...
