Had some fun last night. My buddy and I went out, he has not shot many weapons since the service, to bust some caps. Well we were shooting all of my hand guns and he liked the my new 1911 and the walther p22.
Well anyhow he looks at me with the lets see how good you are look in his eyes and says "Are you up for proving your valor." I had some clue what he was asking so I play along and he threw the challenge. At 25-30 feet he set up 6 shotgun shells and said "see how many ya' can hit." Well I told him that I am more of rifle guy for pin point accuracy. So I pick up my ruger mk II and said lets do it. Well I load up and get my breathing down right and Unleashed the Beast. It took 12 shots to get them all and his jaw was agape. I looked at him and asked him if he wanted to try. He smiled and said "yeah!" Well he took 20 shots and hit one. I told him semi braging that "It took me 12 dont feel too bad." To which he replied something to the effect of well yeah you hit all 6 and I only hit 1. So we packed up and took off.
It was good fun and he really enjoyed the time shooting.
Do any of you have any stories about Proving your Valor?
