Has anyone had experience with these bullets? I'd be interested in both shooting experience, and if anyone has weighed a random sample to determine variation...???

About 3 years ago I reloaded 196 grs FMJ bullets for my 98k. Their accuracy was surprisingly good - at a fraction of the price your pay for the better known match bullets. I would buy 1k if I could find a supplier!

I have used them for couple of years.
Mostly their .30cal HPBT 190grain and
.30cal spitzer 123grain bullets for 7.62x39.
Even their .303 british is good for Dragunov SVD/ Tigr 7.62x54r being .311"
Bullets have some deviation in weight but quality vs price is good.
And of course you can always weigh them and make a separation to groups ;)

TooTaxed,

Weighing bullets is a waste of time, as most commercially made bullets will have very little weight variance. The difference between good bullets and bad, are the variances in ogive to bullet base dimensions.

I have placed an order for PRVI PARTISAN .224 75gr HPBT Match, .308 168-gr HPBT Match, and .224 62-gr FMJBT Graf bullets (made by whom?) and will weigh samples to determine weight dispersion values and shooting results.

I previously bought a batch of Igman .223 55-gr FMJBT bullets and, although I could not detect any appearance abnormalities, found a range of weight variation from 53.8 to 56.1 grains among them in a 100-round sample, with the great majority between 54.8 and 55.3 gr...not bad stuff. I went ahead and sorted them into weight batches and fired them with good results. (Yeah, I'm retired and have too much time on my hands!:p )

I should weigh samples of my Sierra bullets out of curiosity... Have any of you already done that?

On several occasions I have weighed 100 count boxes of .30 caliber 168 grain Sierra Matchkings, and all 100 weighed exactly 168.0 grains. Sierra guarantees their match bullets will be +/- .3 of a grain, and their hunting bullets +/- .6 of a grain.

If the Prvi Partisans are even close to that for the price, they should be worth getting.

Good Bullets.

Just my .02,

I ordered 2k a year or two ago to plink with and finally got around to using some and would buy them again.

I've used the 139gr, 6.5mm soft points in my 6.5x55 swede 98, mainly for breaking in the barrel. They have a steep ogive and needed to be seated deeper to give me my .020 off the lands.
It reminds me a little of the Rem core-lokt in construction. I would expect that they will expand well when pushed at a nominal velocity.

I've shot the .224" 55gr soft-points, 150gr .308 and 165gr .308's.

I rate them as mediocre for accuracy. From my M700 in .22-250, the .224's shoot about like 55gr Remington soft-points, which is not really good. About 1.5-2.0" for 5-shots at 100yds. Decent "burners" for a black-rifle, but not varmint/target grade. From both my 16.5" Bushmaster and 18.5" Remington M7 in .223 they're still 1.5-2.0". FWIW, the .22-250 will shoot in the ".4's" or better with 55gr Sierra's (any of them..) and the .223's will shoot in the 0.6's or 0.7's.

The .308" hunting bullets are about the same. I've used the 150's on deer from a .30/06 including some I reloaded for my daughters boy friend. He's says they perform better on deer than anything else he's used, but he's comparing a 3,000fps hand load to 2,7xx or 2,8xx velocity factory loads....
No experience on game with the 165's, though my ColtLtRifle likes them over 57.0gr of IMR4350 and has shot to near 1" for 3-shot groups. The Savage M110-LH dosen't like the 165's, and needs a bit lower powder charge.....

Most any Hornady, Sierra, or Nosler bullet will out-shoot them. They're about like Winchester Power Points, only not quite as accurate. But then again, they're a LOT cheaper.

You get what you pay for......
