PSA upper opinion, is this a problem or not?

Send it back for a refund and get an upper from a quality company like Bravo Company. They'll bend over backwards and then some for you.

I'll never buy from PSA again, they screwed up my upper receiver group, failed to fix it when I sent it back and then we're trying to deny me a refund until I got the credit company into it. I'm not the only one who's had a very hard time with them. I'll never support them with my business or recommendation again. Rude people who can't put out a quality product.

I'll add this experience was well before the AR demand exploded.

I was using pmags with regular winchest .556 rounds. But like I said it doesnt seem to be the misalignment but it seems to be catching on the opening just above the feed ramp. Other than that I have had no problem with PSA.

Colt sends out clunkers too. PSA is probably selling more AR parts than everyone else combined. Little wonder they come up often.

OP, you don't want any edges that could catch a bullet tip. Call PSA.

lolno

IMO we are waaay beyond the stage of making excuses for them.

OP, let us know what happens with your email inquiry. I have only had good experiences with PSA, including 2 uppers (both with aligned M4 feed ramps) and emailing with them, although sometimes they take a couple days to get to it. The feed ramp misalignment may or may not be the source of the jams, but if you end up sending it back they may get it into alignment and maybe after that you can just try to polish them up a bit. Do you know if all the jams happened on the same (left or right) ramp?

2 rounds out of 100 is not too bad, that is a mere 2% rate during break in.

See if PSA will take it back (they should) and inspect it to correct the problem.

If I were you, I'd run another 100-200rds through the upper first to see if the problems persist. Sometimes it will go away once all the parts wear in. But if it persists, then definitely send it back documenting the issues.

Break in?

2 rounds failing out of 100 is terrible.

That rifle is at fault for 2 more failures...in its first 100 rounds...than mine are at fault for EVER. (2,500 rounds so far)
