so I bought a black friday PSA upper and finally got it to the range. It's their 16" premium chrome lined 1:7 twist upper. I topped it with a a burris ff2 2-7x35 scope and put my first 6 rounds inside an inch at 90yds using a random handload I tossed together (55grn midway dogtown bullet over 22.5grn of ramshot x-terminator)

The last 4 of the 10 I loaded for testing were fired rapidly into the creek to test cycling and for fun.

I'm not a huge fan of the AR15, but it's just hard to not like something that shoots like that. My RRA predator pursuit upper with 16x vortex viper scope didn't shoot any better. (same lower. trigger is stock parts, but running the 50 cent trigger job with clipped springs and a set screw)

so congratulations to psa.

Sounds good. Congrats on getting a real shooter. Out of curiosity, when did you order yours. I've had one on order and it said it shipped on my profile with PSA but I got no email confirmation that it did. Did yours take long to get?

yeah. I learned a while back that you only make 10 test loads before you load up a bunch. ( pulled apart 300 44 mags with an impact puller once because I put in the pure lead cowboy action bullets instead of the ww/linotype alloyed mag rounds and was getting comically bad accuracy, keyholing and leading. oops)

I suppose I could have made lots of different loads, but I was shooting other stuff today and didn't have time for lots of loading over the past week. And 10 rounds is not a large sample group I know, but it's just a little disgusting that something so cheap shoots so well given the number of much higher priced guns in the safe that do not shoot that well, certainly not with so little load development.

gunnetery, I ordered 11/26 and had it within 7-10 days, I can't remember the exact delivery date.

Thanks for the short review. Good to hear its shooting well.

I'm interested to hear more of a long-term and high round-count test from your PSA upper with different ammo including factory brass and steel cased.

it won't happen. I'm too cheap to run a bunch of rounds through it. Blasted thing will probably never see 2k rounds.

My rifle sports a PSA Premium M4 upper and it's been trouble free and accurate for two outings. Between Both outings I've shot a mix of Lake City 55GR 100rnds, PMC XTAC 62GR (40rnds), PPU 69Gr Match (40rnds), TulAmmo 55gr (80Rnds), and a handful of old hand-loads I had hanging out in the .223 ammo can (100rnds). I know that's not a high round count but a pretty good mix of ammo all reliable and all have been as accurate at me at 25yrds 50yrds and 100yrds but I haven't bench tested it for true accuracy with a scope.
