All,

I was going through my reloading brass the other day and thought I'd share some facts about my PT145 feeding thus far. It's got ~750 rounds through it. I've listed the cases and bullets I used thus far, with no malfunctions. I thought this info would be nice to share and help anyone on a fence about these small guns reliability. Mine gobbles up whatever I put in it. I've mixed factory rounds with handloads in the same magazine, no issues. I've mixed different brands of handloads and bullet tips in the same magazine, again, no issues.

Hand Loading
Nickel cases (once fired)
PMC
Starline
Remington
Federal
Speer
Winchester
W W <--?
ELD

All were reloaded with
CCI 300 primers/Unique powder
Speer 230 Gold dot
Hornaday 230 XTP
Hornady 185 XTP

Digging out the bullets from the gravel pit, I'd have to say the gold dots are probably the most impressive when they expand. Due to the FBI specs on it, it's a pretty beefy bullet. The Hornadys seem to expand at hitting nearly anything and have a much thinner jacket than the speers.

Factory ammo
Remington UMC
Federal Hydrashok 230
Winchester Silvertips 185

More love

If they put a DA/SA trigger on them that was worthy, they would become new classics in my opinion. Decent gun thus far, just like to share some real world data and not "my brothers cousin sister said" type of banter...

Would you settle for SA/DA? :D If so, you're in luck because this will be the configuration of Taurus' 24/7 Pro Compact line. Their 24/7 Pros just came out and they include Heinie sights!
