I've been carrying a Glock 21 SF in cool / cold weather when I could wear a sweatshirt, its hard for me to conceal to my liking wearing light clothing.
For warmer weather / all year the Glock 30SF or 38 are concealable wearing light clothing, either appendix IWB or Smartcarry.
The 30SF offers 10 + 1 of 45 acp and the 38 is 8 + 1 of 45 GAP in the same frame as a Glock 19/23.
For low recoil and best match of POA/POI, I am partial to my Barnes Tac-XP hand load in either.
Glock 30SF:
Handload Barnes Tac-XP 160 gr. 1,121 fps / 446# KE / PF 179
Remington Golden Saber 185 +P @ 1,008 fps / 418# KE / PF 186
Winchester Ranger T 230 gr. @ 903 fps /417# KE / PF 208
Glock 38:
Handload Barnes 160 Tac-XP @ 1,046 fps / 389# KE / PF 167
Speer Gold Dot 185 @ 1,062 fps / 463# KE / PF 196
Winchester 230 Ranger T @ 837 fps/ 358# KE / PF 193

45 caliber. :)

So a speer gold dot in GAP has more energy than a +p 185 in ACP?

Yes, more than the two I've tried.
Glock 30SF:
Federal Hydra-Shok 185 +P @ 1,005 fps / 415# KE / PF 186
Remington Golden Saber 185 +P @ 1,008 fps / 418# KE / PF 186

The 45 GAP Gold Dot 200 gr. ain't too shabby either.
Glock 38:
Speer Gold Dot 200 @ 949 fps / 400# KE / PF 190
Speer Gold Dot 185 @ 1,062 fps / 463# KE / PF 196

The 36 is the only .45 I could carry in summer, and I probably won't enjoy it much. :fire:

Just a few fears ago, I thought the biggest thing I could conceal under a t-shirt was a Glock 26/27; I thought the length / height on a Glock 19/23 was too much for appendix IWB. I was wrong.

The 30SF conceals in a Smartcarry with gym shorts or appendix IWB with regular shorts and a loose un-tucked t-shirt, not much different than a Glock 26/27.
Flush fitting 9 round magazines are available for the 30SF if maximum concealment is desired. The 38 is about 1/4'' longer in the grip than the 30SF with the 10 round magazine.
