I went to the range last Friday night with my new Kahr
PM45 and I built pocket holster over the weekend.
At the range, I fired 150 rounds of blazer brass 230 grain ball, some Winchester white box ball ammo and 25 rounds of 230 grain Speer Gold Dot Hollowpoints. The little .45 digested them all. I did attempt to fire some older reloads. I had a failure to feed with a 185 grain semi wadcutter lead bullet. That one wouldnt feed and I had one heck of a time ejecting the cartridge. It looks to be an improper crimp. I had one jacketed hollowpoint reload dent the primer but not fire. All in all I'm really happy with this Kahr.

Can't blame that on the gun. It is only intended, designed and warranted for factory new ammunition.

It seems as if it would be quite a kicker. Normally the .45 does not have harsh recoil, but the smallest gun I've shot it in is the Glock 36.

PM9 vs J Frame

How does the size compare with other small autos? Any way you can give us a comparison pick with something else, like a J frame?

The PM45 is slightly larger than the PM 9 as illustrated. Works until the real thing comes along.

The PM45 is slightly larger then the the PM9 and very comparable in size (only narrower then my Smith
642. There is some muzzle flip but nothing extreme. Rumor has it that the PM45 is easier to control then the PM40.
As far as reloading, hand rolled ammo will void any manufactors warranty as will
drilling teeth void my Dremel tool warranty.
