PTR-91 question

I just got a PTR 91, like the HK G-3. 308 NATO. Its an older model without the flash hider. Can I legally get the barrel threaded for a Vortex or similiar??? I'd like to protect my night vision, and eat up a little recoil for second shots. Thanks

I am sure you are able to thread it, just check legalities in your state and the 922r parts count issue if you do.
