Public Range in/around Portland, OR with rentals?

I'm stuck in Portland for a month or so, and got an itch to go shooting. Can't bring my guns with me, my work here has a "Dangerous Weapons Policy", and I can't afford living off the boat.

Was searching google for any such ranges, but couldn't find any, anyone know of one within a 15 min drive of Portland? Any range with rentals would be fine: indoor, outdoor, rifle, shotgun, or pistol...

The best one with rentals is called The Place to Shoot its in North Portland and literally 30seconds off Interstate 5. Julie, who runs the shop is really sweet and she will get you all set up. There are a few others but thats the closest to Portland.

Also just post in the rallying point section and more than likely somebody will invite you out. I am not going shooting this weekend or I would.

I second TPTS. I've only ever gone with my buddy who has a membership, so I can't speak to their fees, and I think they're only open to non-members on certain days of the week.

Can I shoot without being a member?
$35.00 Per person, per visit. Membership privileges not extended. Photo ID and waiver required. Fee includes one rental gun. You must come in with your own handgun to shoot and/or rent our guns. If you don't have a gun you must come in with a buddy to rent our guns. This is a safety issue, nothing more.

Thanks guys, I'll have to check them out... Bringing a friend isn't an issue, I'm sure there are plenty of people on my ship who wouldn't mind hitting the range!

And for anyone wanting to "invite me out", I'm usually game! If you like, I can probably arrange to bring you on board my ship for a tour also, she's pretty impressive, even if you can't have guns on board

Cost is a prohibitive measure to me at the moment though, my budget is super tight.. But if you have a private range, and a .22 or three, I'd love to come by, and I'll buy some ammo on the way!! I'd say higher caliber also, but anything more than .22 is too expensive for me this month, just bought a new computer.

If you're not a member there, The Place To Shoot will zap you for $35.00 for a lane + the cost of a rental + ammo. I just joined a private club with an indoor range. I only have one handgun though, otherwise, I'd invite you along. In fact, I'm heading over there today to fire off a few rounds of .357 magnum and .38 specials.
