I have a state-approved range for CHL classes which a buddy of mine teaches. Often, the shooters are relative newbies to shooting. They're startled at the very idea of "policing the brass". They'd never think of leaving a soda can or paper, but picking up the empty brass hadn't even crossed their minds.
