Pull Through or Match Reamer?

I'm building a 308 Mauser for target shooting. I need to set the headspace, so I'm looking for a chamber reamer. Brownells has a couple different ones, notably a match chamber reamer and a pull-through...

Which reamer results in a better chamber?

For a bolt-action I would recommend the standard type finish reamer.

The pull-through reamers are more for semi-autos like the M-1, M14 type that can't get a reamer in from the rear end.

I could be wrong, but I think the chances of reamer chatter are greater with the pull-through type because you are turning them on the end of a small dia. rod through the length of the barrel.

I would not recommend someone use a pull through reamer that is unpracticed. It takes experience to be able to stop turning the reamer without leaving markes in the chamber.

Pull through reamers have no place in a bolt gun.
