A little over a week left. Anyone else want to read a good book or two for a good cause?

bought the first book today

Well, that was a quick hook. Didn't even get over to get an Intro posted yet but was happy to see this offer - thank you!

First book purchased & thanks for sending some proceeds onto SAF & NRA - BRAVO!!

Looks like some good reviews over there on Amazon (congrats!).. I'll make sure to get a review on it when done...

Thank you and welcome aboard thrvt!

Three more days left for anyone else that would like to participate in this promotion!

Six THR members purchased eleven copies of my novels. I know I said I was going to donate $1.00 per copy sold, however, that would have only been a $5.50 donation to each of the selected organizations defending our Rights (NRA-ILA and SAF). So I upped the donation amount to $10.00 for each of the organizations.

The donation confirmation code for the SAF is 86X11105U8999182R (what a long number!)
The donation confirmation code for the NRA-ILA is 4267 (that is more reasonable!)

Thank you all for participating and I will be bugging those of you who did purchase one or two of my books to leave a written Amazon review if you haven't already!

Pushrod, do you have paper versions of your books yet?
No.
My publisher changed their paradigm after I had already signed a contract with them. They decided that physical copies of books were not generating the return on investment and changed to all electronic format. It pretty much screwed me of ever physically holding one of my books in my hand. I am on the hook for two more novels with them and then I may look elsewhere for a publisher. Unfortunately a lot of publishing companies are adopting this business policy.

Sounds like you got a raw deal on that contract. I used both Infinity Publishing and Amazon's Kindle Direct program, which afforded me the luxury of keeping 100% of my rights. While Infinity's products and services are excellent, they are not significantly superior to Amazon's services.

Having seen the results of Amazon's Createspace print books, and considering the ease of publishing for the Kindle (assuming you have a perfunctory knowledge of HTML), I'll be sticking with them from now on.

You are probably better off. I was fronted quite a substantial advance from the publisher and it will take me a lifetime to pay it back at less than $0.70 a copy royalties.

It took me 100 copies each of my books in order to earn back my initial investment with Infinity. But when I published my original trilogy for the Kindle (which Infinity had no say in), it was money in my pocket immediately. I'd say it only took me 3-4 hours of wrestling with HTML to get the formatting right.

Just bought both. I wish you success in melding your first and second amendment rights, and I look forward to reading the novels. :)

So when are we going to see MORE books? I really enjoyed the first two....

No pressure...push...push.
The third and last in that series is about 1/3 finished. I had software problems with office which after 3 months I finally have it resolved (had to purchase it again). So I'm hoping to have it to the publisher later this year. Please leave a written review on Amazon if you haven't yet, they really help me.

Awesome, thank you!
Don't forget to leave a written review on Amazon after reading them.

The Zombie Virus is on sale this weekend only for 0.99¢. Purchase the novel this weekend and I will donate a dollar for each purchase to the NRA-ILA. Agreat readsupports a great cause!

Like earlier, just post that you purchased it to be counted towards the donation. (See post #1)

Somehow I missed this thread last year and saw it today. I just now bought both e-books. They sound good.

I'm looking forward to starting the first, probably in October. Kinda busy now plus I have a couple books ahead in the queue. So many good books to read! :D
