Putting an old marlin right again.

I found the cartridge cut off from a place in England a week or so back. They had no info for shipping outside of the UK and it didn't look promising . I e-mailed them but got no response - until today. Yep, they'll sell me a couple and they just sent me a link for some way that would accept my payment and it was easy. Thanks southerton guns in habrough , England.- weird from our side of the pond , to theirs and now back again.

This part will take some fitting but I'm under the impression with the back part trimmed to fit it should go in without too much trouble. If not I'll still have a spare in case my 39a ever needs one.

One piece at a time , slow going getting parts for relics.

Hey that's a neat project. Neat to see the internals compared to my 39AS.

Certainly something about the 39 family of guns that speaks to the soul.

I have one that my grandfather got on his 16th birthday in 1905. Remarkably accurate. I shoot it at 100 yards with a Marbles tang sight. Remarkable. Hope it all comes together for you!

Consider relining the bore and rechambering it too.

DocRock - that's beautiful!
I do intend on lining the bore, I've got a little hang up on a couple small parts still and have one other rifle that needs to be lined as well . I plan on renting the tools and doing both at the same time, the rental is only for A week or 2 so I've got to make sure my ducks are in a row and I can get it all done . hoping with a fresh chamber the bolt will be tighter in the closed position , haven't had any luck finding a decent replacement bolt (not sure I actually need one ). As I make progress I'll definitely keep this thread updated.
