I've had several of Colts snakes, didn't care much for them after I had them for a while so I ditched them for Smiths and never looked back.
Keep the Garands you'll be glad you did .

Here are the 2 she wants, I offered the Int Harvester & $500 she stood strong, I knew it wasn't
high enough & sort of blew the deal on purpose View attachment 794935 View attachment 794936
That was my final offer we won't do the deal & I am really relieved that it is over, so by that
I must deep down really wanted to keep all my Garands.
Already got ammo laid out for a solid mid day Garand & 1903 target shooting.
Thanks for all the input guys. By the pics you can see why I couldn't do the deal.

You did good my man, you did real good. :)

I did the ole poker trick with this one.
I figured she has a HIGH $$$$$ buyer in mind for them both, true she has held on to the Python a year now
but I bet -& I did bet- she had to have both to come out ahead which is why, when I made the offer there
was no way it would go thru.
If I did have it wrong I could sell the Python -AGAIN- & get 2 more good Garands.
It would take a while to replace one if it went thru because I don't get Garands off
the net, I have to see them & shoot them. There are so many in junk condition, the
last gun show I went to, there wasn't a one that passed the- round in the muzzle test -
& didn't even try some that looked like a funnel for a muzzle.
Just have to depend on word to get around & I always have my ear to the ground
for 1903 & Garands.

I'm a pragmatic guy, so a collectible revolver with no real benefits over modern revolvers is not something I'd trade two nice Garands for.

Put me in the "keep garands" camp.

Edit: nevermind, I just read earlier posts.

There are much better ways to invest $2500 than a revolver. If you just want a python to look at then sure.
