I have been looking around at the M4 buttstocks for the 870, and have a couple of questions that maybe an expert can answer.

The regular M4 buttstocks have a spring and a buffer tube, from what I can gather. Do the offerings from places like Mesa Tactical and Cav Arms have the same for the shottie?

Same question for the NRS from Knoxx. Also, is the NRS plastic or aluminum, or something else?

IF you go with a stock thats good for sights, you evidentially ( I am guessing from research ) have to deal with more recoil than from the stocks that are designed to come even with the barrel, that you would normally use optics with. Are there sghts that can be used in the event that optics fail? If you do go with a low mount stock, that uses the bead or GR sights, what happens when you put optics on the weapon. Is it possible to use optics with a low mount?

For peple who have shot both, what is the difference in recoil?

As always, TIA.
