My father loves to hunt quail and at seventy four he is still going strong.
Quail are getting hard to find in the area where he lives (Wake County)
because of overdevelopment and lack of open space. Do any of you have
any suggestions as far as where he can find some quail? He's been hunting
in his native county Wilson County and Nash County, its next door
neighbor, but the quail have seemed to dry up there as well.

We had a decent hunt a couple of years back at Anderson Creek Hunting Preserve near Lillington. I grew up hunting quail with my granddad in Brunswick County. But, like one of my uncles said when I asked him if he was shooting any wild quail in rural SC, he replied, "Huh, what's that?"

Bring him down to Georgia, there are Hunting Preserves and Plantations who specialize in Quail hunting. South West and South Central Georgia is loaded with places to hunt.

I've been seeing lots of wild Quail this year, many more than past years.
