Question about S&W 325 variations

I am looking at a 325. My dealer told me there were two variations -- which was news to me.

Sure enough, RSR lists a 2.5" barrel PD model and a different 2.75" barrel SC model -- but has not picture of the SC model.

Does anyone know about this "SC" model?

I have asked this question on the S&W Forum, but no answers to far.

Thanks!

According to S&W Customer Service -- there is only one model -- the PD -- with black finish and hi-viz front sight.

According to RSR (the distributor), there is also a silver version with red ramp sight.

RSR also says the PD has been discontinued now.

Has anyone ever seen a sliver 325?

The RSR web site is in error and their customer service refered me to S&W for the straight scoop. They were unsure.

According to S&W Customer Service, part# SW163415FC is the current and ONLY version of the 325PD. 6 shot, 2.75" barrel, and adjustable sight, even though the RSR site states 4", 5 shot, fixed sight. Correct part#, wrong description.

Part# SW149757FC does not exist and does not match any naming convention S&W has ever used for revolvers. The RSR site contains the correct description for the 325PD under this part#. Wrong part#, right description.

I wish they were making another variation to add to my collection, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Just poor web site maintenance by RSR.

I meant to post this earlier. The RSR website was in error on several points, but there is a 325 SC. It is the same as the 325 PD, but with a silver finish and a red ramp front sight.

And -- its mine!

Darn it, Joe... figured you would ask.

It looks great in my safe! :)

I normally shoot every Tuesday night and circumstances have conspired for nearly a month now to keep me away. Next week, I hope.

My Hoffners Miurage holster arrived today though...

How well did your Hoffners holser fit? I had to make some modifications to the one I ordered for my M60-4.
