Question about .38S Colt 70

I have a 70 series govt. Colt Super .38 with the bell shaped end of the barrel, and wanted to replace the collet bushing with a regular Colt one. The new bushing fits the belled end of the barrel fine; but, of course, it is very loose on the non-belled portion of the barrel. Will this cause any problems, or is tere another alternative I haven't thought of? Thanks for any advice. WB

Probably not. My Springfield 9mm has a barrel with the muzzle swelled to take a .45 bushing and it works ok.
