Hi gentlemen,i hope you can help me out?i have a colt mark iv series 70 38 super, with a 9mm bll,can i put a 38 super drop in bll. Back in and use the same bushing and ejector,do you know where to buy them.thank you all. Dusty

You should be able to use the same bushing unless one of the barrels is very worn or different spec. (e.g., a fit barrel) than the other. This is likely possible but you won't know until you try.

The ejector, slide stop, etc. are the same for those two so no need to change anything else but the magazines. As to where to buy, I can't tell you everywhere buy makers include Kart, Colt, BarSto, Clark, Schuemann, etc. A look in a Brownell's catalog could probably help you.

If the 9mm barrel is not factory, it seems likely that someone converted that gun from .38 Super to 9mm just by replacing the barrel, usually a feasible conversion. The conversion back should present no problems. If the gun was originally made in 9mm, there might be some problems in converting it to .38 Super, mainly in the feed ramp and the breech face.

9MM

I have seen colts that came from the factory in 9mm(they take a special mag) and I've owned a colt goverment model in 38 super. I should have had my asskicked for selling it.
The 9mm mag has a little deal added to the back of the mag to allow the mag to shoot the 9mm.
