Question about 460 Rowland & 1911

Is building a pistol with the 460 Rowland (barrel,compensator,guide rod) worth the effort putting it together compared to a 45 acp. already done?


Can it be built (safely) on an Argentine Colt 1911 (Sistema) frame & slide?

I wouldn't even consider it on an old Sistima frame.

Hi RC,


After reading those posts I decided against doing it. My Sistema is still fairly tight even after 51 years, so I don't want or need it "sloppy" or worse....an exploded "view" in 3D!

Hope I can repay the favor! You just saved my 45 from an untimely end!
