Question about bipod for AR

I'm thinking about getting a bipod for my AR, but I'm looking for someone with some experience in the matter before I make the plunge on a purchase which may not suit my needs.

This bipod will be primarily for prone shooting.

I'm wondering if the bipod will interfere with my mounted SureFire flashlight. I have a carbine length gas system, but the FSB has been replaced with a Yankee Hill Machinery Specter gas block and the quad rails extend over the gas block. I don't remember exactly how long the rails are, but I think they're 9 inches.

This is the bipod I'm considering.

If I were to mount the bipod forward of my vertical foregrip, do you think it would interfere with the mounted light?

Check out the TangoDown Advanced Combat Bi-Pod. I have one on my M14.

It's reversible

A harris would not bother your foregrip if you mounted it in the standard "legs fold forward" position.

Black is standard

It's made for the M4 and should not interfere with you VFG or light.

Schweet! Will it mount directly to the Picatinny rail or does it require an adapter like the HArris bipods?

Nice rifle, by the way. It's on my short list of things to buy, but I'm not sure I'll get to it before another AWB is passed - keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

You could also check out the VLTOR bipod. It's made by TangoDown but the legs are not attached to one another - they are mounted on the SIDE rails rather than the bottom, so the rifle's center of gravity is lower. It's $50 cheaper than the TangoDown above. Same idea as the very excellent Sako TRG bipods.
