In a galaxy far, far away...
I recently bought a brand new Glock 19 as a companion to my P99 and the first thing I wanted to do was swap out the serrated trigger for a smooth faced one. I ordered it from topglock.com and when I went to install it, I noticed that the trigger bar didn't have any travel to it. I then checked the package and one of the stickers said it was for the Glock 20/21.

Holding them side-by-side, I can see that the bends are in different locations although their overall lengths are the same. When I emailed topglock support, the guy indicated that the 20/21 smooth faced trigger was an upgrade to the stock serrated one that came with my 19.

My question is, why do they have 4 different part numbers for triggers then? I just emailed them back and am waiting for a response, but figured I'd check to see if anyone here knew more. I admit that I'm a Glock newbie, but something doesn't seem right here.

I'm hoping the attachment works. I took a picture of the 2 trigger bars side-by-side. The one on the bottom came out of my 19, the one on the top (with the number stamp) is the one they sent to me.

With a set of tongs, hearth fired coals and a set of driving wedges you should be easily capable to make this part fit.

All kidding aside, contact topglock.com and make sure the sent you the right part. It doesn't sound like they did.

4 different part numbers for four different triggers, smooth faced trigger for the 9/40/357 glocks, smooth faced trigger for the 10/45 glocks, serrated trigger for the 9/40/357 glocks, and serrated trigger for the 10/45 glocks. You got the wrong trigger, send it back and have them send you the right one. I bought two smooth faced triggers from topglock, one for my G19, and one for my G30, and they are both fantastic.

Even if you ordered the wrong part, I'm sure Topglock will happily exchange that incorrect trigger bar for the correct trigger bar.

I actually didn't even ask them for an exchange. I ordered it early in January and just got around to trying to put it in last Friday. It's been 2 months now so I really don't expect anything from them. I waited too long and I can accept that. I just asked that they doublecheck the labeling on their parts to make sure that no one else ends up with the wrong trigger. But the guy who originally wrote back seemed to indicate that the Glock 20/21 trigger is a drop-in upgrade to my 19 (which it obviously isn't).

Even if it's been a while, they'll probably still do the exchange. If they won't, you'd be doing us a service by posting that info here. :)

To update... Well it's been a couple of days since I sent them the photo of the 2 different trigger bars and they haven't responded to acknowledge it. I ended up ordering one from CDNN (a lot cheaper too, $5 vs. $13) on Sunday night and the package just arrived. I'm at work right now so I can't compare it to the one I got from TopGlock but it this one looks obviously different. I'll know for sure tonight when I pull my gun apart (again).
