I've never had anything come loose on mine, and I've owned it for years.

For me, The GP-100 is the ulitmate revolver. I love everything about it.
Bomb proof, more than accurate enough for my needs, and feels great in the hand.

I've never seen a worn out GP100. I've seen some abused and used. I've never seen one worn out. But then, I'm young.:p

If Diebold (the bank safe manufacturer) made guns they'd probably come up with something like the GP100.

I like revolvers the way I like people - sturdy, durable, unpretentious, dependable and true. I like Rugers. And Jeeps. And Allis-Chalmers.

Most guns can shoot themselves loose over time. I have seen semi auto grip screws work loose and revolvers are no different.

That being said the GP100 is a friggen tank. I have seen one used to jack up a car as a make shift jack handle.

If you remove the cylinder latch screw, it can have a tendency to walk out from then on unless you loctite it or stake it. There's really not a good reason to ever remove the screw in the first place, so that's probably not much of an issue.

I guess the grip screw could get loose, but that's something you'd probably notice.

They're pretty solid. Short of abuse, I doubt you'd ever wear one out by shooting it.
