i had a chance to pick up an old High Standard Victor with the vent rib, barrel weight and 5.5" barrel. this is the original company, not the new Houston High Standard.
i've wanted one since is was 17 (about four decades ago) and didn't inspect it too closely (where it was manufactured), but it comes from a fairly high end collection and was 90%+ (i may have to go back for one of the S&W M-52s)
i know about the spring under the grip, but was wondering if there are other things i should be aware of when i get the gun in-state to my FFL. i was also wondering if anyone knew a source of reliable mags for the military gripped High Standards
