I've had this gun about 6 months, and I've noticed something. The new 686-6
(which is what mine is), in the catalog seem to have the laser etching
on the barrel. I also saw one other guy at my clubs range that had one
with the laser etching. Mine has the traditional roll markings on the
barrel (which I like better anyway), and the other one the dealer had
also had roll marks. Are they fazing out the laser markings,
because of complaints (and I've heard a few), or are they just doing
both? And yes it was brand new when I bought it.
