Seriously. If you can manage to dump your rounds with a Safariland loader, you shouldn't be holding a gun. They DO NOT release unless they are pushed far enough into the chamber, that there really should not be any problem with rounds falling out.

Even with an HKS, as long as you don't turn the knob to early, you are fine. Just make sure the rounds are in the chambers, and then turn the knob. It's not very hard to master.

It's nice to just be able to go to the gun store, pick up a box of rounds, and go to the range. No demooner, or anything else. You load up a few speedloaders in a couple seconds, and then you have a few chambers to load fast and shoot. If you don't reload (I don't), you can just dump your spent brass in the brass bucket, and you don't have to worry about going home and demooning the moon clips there. You don't have to sit at home the night before, loading boxes of ammo into moonclips, for your range trip the next day.

For some people, obviously all this isn't such a big deal. But, when speedloaders can be a little bit slower, but without any hassle, they just make sense.
