Question about Primer Push Rod Spring

Hello Guys,
I am brand new to the thread and to reloading. I have a Lee Pro 1000 and have loaded 800 rounds of 45 but when changing the shell plate to 9mm I messed up the Primer push rod and cant seem to understand how it is installed or how the spring is placed on the rod. I need some help re installing it. Thank you in advance guys.

Welcome to THR.

The spring goes on top of the rod as shown in the picture below (shorter rod end goes towards the bottom of the hole). BTW, small primer attachment (marked "S" on the side) takes small diameter primer rod and large primer attachment (marked "L") takes larger diameter rod.
