I own well over 1000 rounds of S&W 32 Long WC ammunition. Is there any small relatively inexpensive handgun that I can buy to shoot it?

I should be more specific, a gun made in the past 50 years and costing less than $500.

I'd opt for a S&W Mod 30 or Mod 31; the last one I purchased (Model 30, 3" barrel, some blue wear, but very tight action & lock-up) cost about $200, a couple years ago.

I saw some of the Ruger Vaqueros in 32 HR Mag (so that will work) discounted awhile ago for about $330.

I've been looking for a decent S&W Model 31 for the right price but I haven't found one. Keep in mind you can shoot those in a 32 H&R Magnum.

A H&R 732 would be a dandy shooter for the 32 LWC and also can be found for around $100.

Another Nagant vote, but get the target model. Cost maybe twice as much, harder to find, but you get adjustable sights, heavy barrel, EXCELLENT single action!

While it would not be cheap unless you could find a good deal on a used one, the SP 101 can be had in 32 H&R and will shoot your ammo just fine. My daughter, 15 has a pair of Vaqueros in 32 H&R mag and they are great little guns. There a re a lot of old pistols that will shoot 32 S&W like the H&Rs and the old Smiths but just be sure they are in good shape.

You should be able to pick up a serviceable Colt Police positive for around $200 bucks, provided you don't mind a rough finish, a really nice one will be a bit more, but still well under 5 bills.

You'll also run across S&W M&Ps in .32 S&W Long. If the finish is good they'll bring money on the collector market, but if it's not it really hurts the value in a less common caliber (the intrinsic value of .38 special as a cheap & availbale shooter helps these hold a shade more value even with poor finish). You can often end up with an externally ugly, but internally excellent revolver this way. The old Colts are the same way.
