Question about shooting in Michigan

My friends and I go to pubic hunting places and shoot into targets set against hills. Is this legal in Michigan?

I've been doing it for maybe 15 years now, never had any problems on state land. I always pick up my garbage and whatever brass I can find.

Could you ask the government agency that has jurisdiction in the parks you are doing this at.
