I recently bid on 1000 rounds of 9mm ammo on gunbroker.
The auction was listed as "CCI Brass 124gr 9mm" And the pictures showed blazer brass.

Well to my delight when they showed up today they were Speer Lawman 124gr.
I think lawman is a better ammo, but either way im happy, it was cheaper than walmart WWB delivered.

But my question is this...
It is in the dark blue box with the silver "S" through it. Now when I look online it seems like most people show a light blue box with a yellow bar at the bottom.

Did speer change their box recently? did I get some old ammo?
I know im being picky, just kind of wondering.
Here are pics of what I have and the other kind im seeing everywhere.

All the Lawman ammo I've bought the last couple years is the dark blue with the big S, like your first pic.
Quality seems higher than most FMJ ammo.
I like the Speer brass, send me yours if you don't reload ;).

Yes the number is 53616

I know it doesnt really matter, but i was just curious.

I like the idea of the TMJ over the FMJ, and the possability that it is loaded hotter and supposedly mimicks the 124gr gold dots.

I just checked the numbers on the case of Speer ammo I bought a few months ago and found the number 53651 on it. It's definitely hotter than the UMC stuff from Walmart. Shoots pretty good.
