I know that michigans gun laws state that any rifle under 30 inches in length needs to be registered as a pistol.
what I cant find is what the law says about rifles with folding/telescoping buttstocks.
I want to buy a Yugo m70AB but I dont know if it would be treated as a pistol or not.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

The length when folded to it's smallest length, must be over 30" if it's less, it has to be registerd as a handgun, at least, that's what the SO told me about my mini 14 years ago, (2002)
So, take the measurement when it's folded...
