Have any of you guys that are schmidt rubin officianadoes ever run across one of these k31 rifles that was not a good shooter.

I hear all the stories about the k31 being tack drivers and am really considering one for that very reason.

What kind of realistic, iron sight accuracy are we looking at here for a k31, at say 100 to 200 yards?

Has anybody ever had a k31 that was a dog?

Input from owners and k31 alumni welcome. Please sound off as I am torn between the k31's and a couple other note worthy mil surps. (mauser 24/47, .308 lee enfield)

the only "dog" that deals with the K-31 is ammo availability...

I reload, so that now since I have a supply of boxer brass, this is a moot point.

My K-31 will bang a 6" gong all day long at 125-175 yards with the FNM factory stuff. I haven't tried the Prvi Partizan that I just bought but I am sure that it will perform admirably. The mil-surp is the dogs bark, though...excellent stuff.

I also have about 40 rounds of Norma brass that I loaded up with some 150 gr. 30-06 pull down bullets and some RL-15...but that is for another forum. :)

Get the rifle....more boxer brass will mean these rifles can be fun. :)

get a K-31 and don't look back.excellent rifles.can't say much about the ammo as I am a handloader and have never bought any GP ammo.I hear it is good stuff but expensive $4.00 for 10 rd's.

WOW!

Mine doesn't shoot quite that good. I may have to try that load....

I get about 2MOA with the iron sights. Still, 4" groups at 200 yards turn a lot of heads at the range.
