Question for law enforcement officers.

If you confine "the police" to administrative types in relativley large departments beholden to liberal politicians and those among the ranks of law enforcement who look to them for guidance then yes, the police are among the main opponents to concealed carry laws.

The further you get from that segment of law enforcement the less likely it is to be true.

"How do you guys feel about citizens who don't get their "permits" to carry and excercise their constitutional or natural right to do so?"

Most feel you are breaking the law. (Check applicable state law.)
Some will look the other way. (Assuming discretion permits.)
Many will not.

Bottom line, you should expect to be arrested upon discovery of the fact that you are willfully violating the law.

Arguments of law are meant to be presented before the judiciary. An arrest is necessary to get you there. Best of luck. May you force a USSC ruling in favor of the 2A. That would nulify most of what I've just typed.

Big R:
If those organizations are anything like the NY counterparts they sound like, they are not unions.Police Chiefs/Officers groups and associations are generally lobbying organizations, not unions. Chiefs are generally not unionized.

OK, so that is ONE example of a CHL holder committing a (non-violent) crime. That doesn't refute my point at all.
You’re right, this is just ONE example. Of course, nobody would be interested in reading more examples of the same, that’s why its called an example. I supposed if I really cared I could give you some more examples. They are the minority (IOW most permit holders are “the good guysâ€) its just a mistake to assume that all permit holders are “a good guyâ€. Moreover, there is really only one reason this individuals crime was “non-violentâ€, he didn’t know he was tied into the drug load until after he was detained. He also didn’t know the drug load had been seized. The scout (this guy) was loaded and ready for a big fight but thought the drugs were still ok and as soon as he got his ticket he could be on his way. Not so.
