When you've finished punching out a sheet, what do you do with the rest of the felt? Lots of good wax mixture left, just wondering how to re-coup it. Or am I just too much of a tightwad?*

I suppose one could boil the pieces, then let the wax cool on top of the water, remove it, then throw the felt away. Just not sure if the wax would boil out of the felt.

*My kids say I used to pay them 20 cents to skip supper and then charge them a quarter for breakfast.:D

Who says a wad has to be circular?

Why not chop the trimmings into tiny pieces and then just pour them on the powder?

I don't use wads, I schmeer stuff over the ball, but as long as you get enough stuff between the ball and powder, why not?

Pulp, you like to experiment, you old scientist, you! Do a video!!

Because I don't care for waste I punch the wads and soak those in my Gatofeo lube.

I've wondered if there was anything I could do with the punched sheet...filler maybe? I don't even use fillers though...

J-Bar, Ruckus was the first time I'd used them. I'm not really sold on them, but I've got a bunch left, so I might as well use them up. I've always used Bore Butter over the ball, but it does have it's drawbacks. Stiff in the winter, liquid in the summer.

Noz..ya still have the sheet of felt with all the holes in it. That, as I understand part of the post is the problem. What to do with it. I throw it away.

I just followed Mike Bellivue's video on how to make them. If a feller punches them first does he just dip them into melted lube mix?

I use a plastic food storage container and pour my melted Gatofeo lube on the wads and stir them around a bit.

I do what Noz does. Punch 'em out then lube. Toss the sheet of holes. No lube wasted and a whole lot less messy.
