Back when I used to shoot metallic handgun in competition, there were a few bolt-action pistols used. (I shot a Contender in 7mm TC/U). Most seemed to be the XP-100 or based on it. But one thing I cannot recall is if a right-hand shooter would use a left-hand action normally (i.e. the bolt handle is on the left side).
I am thinking for right-handers, the bolt handle was on the left to ease loading the next round, and to allow the shooting arm to remain in position. But a lot of photos I see of just the pistol show an obvious right-hand stock with the bolt handle on the right side. So ... I wonder if my memory was right.
