I have a new Charter Arms Professional in 32 H&R Magnum waiting for the NICS check to pass and am looking for reloading components. Very very few components not on the "Out of Stock" list but have dies, primers, powder and bullets to last for a while. I was able to find some nickel plated 32 H&R brass at Midway, but zero from any other vendor. Also very little ammo (none less than $2.00 per round when available). I found some "32 Wadcutter" brass for sale. Perhaps 32 S&W or 32 Long? Not familiar with the "Wadcutter case" nomenclature...

My guess is what they mean by “wadcutter case” is the case has a cannelure ring pressed in around where the base of a full wadcutter would fall. It’s to prevent push-in where the bullet is crimped around the top, not in a groove.
Who is advertising it? Depending on what they know or don’t, it could be .32Long, could be .38Spl. Who knows? ;)

What are you missing for .32Mag, now?

My order from Midway arrived yesterday so I can get by for a while with what I've got now. (I did look at Ammoseek last week and found only 32 H&R brass available was Starline in 500 case bags. Starline website "backorder OK". others, "not in stock"). I have some Acme 100 gr. coated SWC and some Hornady 85 gr. XTPs. I love reloading but with the Oregon weather and my current health problems I don't go shootin' as often as I used to so what I have on hand will do for now...

I'm hoping the "wadcutter brass" is just canalured 32 H&R and not 32 S&W, got some coming...

Dillon precision shows 32 H&R for $19 per 100 in stock. I've never ordered from them.

I have some Starline nickle .32 Mag brass, it will crack sooner than the plain brass from Starline, or at least my first 100 ones all did.

Thanks for the help! Some places must have run out of brass in stock when I was lookin', but I just ordered 100 more cases from Dillon. Thanx Bfh_auto!
I'm glad to be of assistance. Have fun. The little 32s are sweet shooters.

I’ve never seen .32 S&W wadcutters. I’m betting they are .32 S&W Long cases. Actually, they make .32 S&W Long semi automatic pistols that shoot wadcutters at a much higher pressure than revolvers (about 22,000 psi if I remember). They are more popular in Europe I believe. If that is the case, they may be a little thicker than standard cases, at least around the web area.

Thanks fellers. I normally do more reearch on components and tools before starting reloading for a new to me cartridge, (like the 38 Super. Few guns under $1,000.00 and not so plentiful ammo and components, so I passed), but this time I guess I didn't research enuf! (I had to look sevral places for a 32 H&R roll crimp die or compatable cartridges (32 Long. etc.). Most available were taper crimp or Lee FCDs. But I'm OK for now with what I have (Lee 3 die set)...

I'm gonna make some reloads for my new gun or give up reloading!

Even if you did get 32 Long cases, don’t worry. The 32 Long is a heck of a good little round, and your gun can even handle the hot reloads listed in older reloading manuals (though maybe not Speer #8.)

32 "wadcutter" brass arrived today. Headstamps say "32 Wadcutter" and measure about .010" shorter than 32 S&W Long. I'll just use 32 Long data for my reloads. All is good...
Is it Fiocchi brand? They are the ones i see most often making 32 wadcutter.

Dang, i wish you had gotten the 38 super and told me (hindsight lol)... Ive got a bit of ammo, fresh cases, maybe dies, and a 1911 magazine. My inherited Colt Super 38 was apparently reamed for 38 Special HBWC and i no longer need the 38 super stuff.
