i was at cabelas today looking for some good hd/shtf ammo
i have plenty of m193 and 50 gr. jhp
but i wanted something made for hd
i decided on some hornady 60gr. v-max
but when i went to the counter the clerk told be that
blackhills has basically the exact same ammo but in a 50 box for 39.99
vs hornady 20 for 21.99
I've never tried blackhills so i decided to get some red box 55 gr. fmj
to try it out
my question is is blackhills red box 60 gr. v-max ammo
the same as hornady 60 gr. v-max

According to their website, the 60gr V-Max uses the Hornady bullets.

(Click on the ::more info next to the .223 ammunition cartridge)

The Blue Box Black Hills 52gr MHP .223 ammunition shoots under half an inch out of my TC Encore rifle. The Blue Box is their less expensive remanufactured ammunition. :D

Black Hills has been top quality ammo at a competitive price. They make the MK262 ammo for the military.
