Question on the origin of the Ruger Old Army

There's no shortage of Remington 58's made from modern materials, and there are even a few with adjustable sights.

The first gun I bought was a Remington 58. I shot it a lot. I never liked the small grip frame and the tightness behind trigger guard. If I had any real problems with it, I now don't remember. I hear the Pietta has a larger grip frame.

I also owned a Ruger Old Army. SST target model. Back then I had an FFL and the Ruger dealer wanted to get rid of it. I never fired it. I trained it for a Smith & Wesson 686 6" blue.
