A friend of mine has recently picked up a H&R 732 in .32 S&W Long. Does the HKS model 32K or 32J speed loaders work in this wheelgun? We were both wondering if they work in the H&R and were looking for advice from our fellow firearm enthusiasts.

Just a guess, but I would assume not. Those speedloaders are for 32 H&R magnum rounds. The chamber spacing on the cylinder would have to be wider to accomodate the magnum's higher pressure than the standard 32 round.

I would advise against using speedloaders for these guns anyway. A speedloader would be for someone to CCW the gun - and while the H&R is a dandy revolver, I would advise against using it for carry.

Does anybody know?

Actually no, but I'll take a shot at it. At certain times - like the last weekend before Christmas - finding someone with answers take more time.

I believe that the 32J hold 6 rounds, and is used in J-frame Smith & Wessons, or similar sized revolvers. If I am right it should work in an H&R 732.

To see, I suggest that you Google [HKS Products].

To add: H&R didn't change the chamber spacing between .32 S&W Long, and .32 H&R Magnum, as it wasn't necessary. As for carrying or otherwise using the revolver for personal protection. There are better choices, but people carried .32 revolvers and pistols since the early 1900's, and the .32 S&W Long is a better option then the more popular .32 ACP. If the H&R is all you have, use it.

the only way to know is to contact the manufacturer and ask them to measure the diameter of the center of the holes in the loader. even thogh the guns may hold the same number of rounds, the spacing on them may be different.
