I have recently aquired a 1903 manufactured by remington with a high standard replacement barrel. All parts seem remington and correct, but the rifle has glass bedding compound at the receiver lug, at the rear of the receiver, and underneath at both bolt points. Also, the stock is serial #'d to the gun and on the stock there is a large 'B' just behind the receiver and again on the bottom of the floorplate a large 'B' . My question: does this indicate the gun was bedded at an arsenal, or just a coincidence with the 'B's and bedding? Were any 1903's bedded? My friend says no, I honestly don't know but would like to. Thanks.
Also, has anyone seen any primers coming back onto the market yet? Its been 6 months now.
