Greeting's All-

I've got to admit, its been quite a few years since I
have sit down to handload using Lyman dies. With
memory in question, does the Lyman "All American"
dies come with a tungsten carbide sizing die? Many
thanks for your knowledge and help.

The Lyman All American Press takes the same size dies as most other presses. It is the Lyman Tru-Line Jr press that takes a different size, that being the same dies as the 310 tong tool (those dies did not have the optional carbide dies). When last I bought Lyman dies for the All American, one had their choice of either steel dies (needing lube) of carbide sizing die (not needing lube). Quantrill

Greeting's All-

After posing the same question to fellow THR member
Capbuster, and after careful research this is what
we believe to be the truth; as per a 1967 Gil Hebard Guns
catalog out of Knoxville, IL:

"A set of Lyman "All American" dies in .38SPL/.357 MAG
could be purchased from his company Gil Hebard Guns
for $13.50. Also available was the "DeLuxe" set with the
tungsten carbide sizing die for $21.00. Or a separate TC
sizing die could be purchased for $12.95. S&H was not
included with these prices".

Many thanks to my ole' friend and shooting partner
Capbuster for his time in researching this matter.
