Anyone know if the decapping pin from the All American die set is the same as the new dies? I haven’t reach out to Lyman, I thought I would ask the experts first.

I ordered the Lyman pins but they are headed and don’t work in the older dies I have…anyone else have an idea? It looks like it is just a straight pin.

I have Lyman dies that came in a black box. They are headed pins. I have a set that came in a orange box. I cant tell what pin is in it. I don't know how to remove it.

It looks like they are 1/16” I took the back of a drill bit and it slid in the hole

Apparently if they are headed they must be smaller than the rcbs ones. I just grabbed a rcbs headed pin out and it’s the same size as the ones the bozo at the lgs ordered for me. I knew I should’ve just ordered them myself. On the bright side I have extra pins for my rcbs dies

Yes they are smaller than the RCBS ones. I tried to use one on a RCBS. It was loose.

Mine are rifle dies. So they have an ex-pander ball. Only difference.

I don't remember the size, but after I broke my first pin on a Berdan case, I went to my local tool supplier (not Home Depot or Lowe's) and bought a pack of 6 ea 3" drill rod/drill blanks. Put it in my vise and broke off 3/4", dressed the end and put it in my die 38 yrs ago. Does anyone want to buy 5 drill rod/drill blanks?
